Reading will be taught using the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Journeys reading program. We will focus on developing a balanced reading program. Key components of a balanced literacy program are: teaching comprehension strategies, word work, fluency, and differentiated reading instruction. This new series is aligned with the common core.
